Exporting Puppies from Scotland
I am happy to discuss exporting Fyrish puppies overseas, and I have experience with the additional planning and veterinary requirements involved in sending a puppy from Scotland to a new home abroad.
Exporting a puppy does require a little more organisation than a puppy staying within the UK. Travel arrangements, veterinary paperwork and the requirements of the destination country all need to be considered in advance, and these can vary depending on where the puppy is travelling to and whether you are collecting the puppy yourself or using a pet transport company.
My vets need to know your planned travel arrangements as early as possible, as the paperwork they provide can differ depending on how your puppy is travelling. Early contact means that we have time to get everything organised correctly and avoid unnecessary delays.
Puppies normally leave me at around eight weeks of age. Fyrish is a home based kennel rather than a large commercial kennel, so I have limited space to keep puppies beyond this age. If your puppy needs to remain with me while waiting for an appropriate travel date, there will be an additional weekly charge, together with any additional veterinary costs required for the export.
I am very happy to help guide you through the process and work with you to make sure everything is in place for your puppy to travel safely and correctly. However, overseas owners need to be prepared to organise their own travel arrangements, understand the pet import requirements for their country and communicate with me promptly when information is required.
